G’day Everyone,
Well the 2011 PBR season is over and while 2012 may not be here just yet, the 2012 PBR season is well under way. Looking back on the past season, it was one of the biggest learning experiences of career and it was also one of the most memorable.
Re-injuring my riding hand early in the season, due to a change in bull ropes, made it a struggle to hold onto my rope as well as I would have liked. After returning to the original rope I had been using, my summer began to turn around and the fun began. I had some success in Australia including winning my own PBR bull riding, the Brendon Clark Invitational. In my opinion this was one of the hardest to win, as there is a great amount of pressure to win your own event! After returning to the USA, I attended a lot of PBR Touring Pro events and continued to try and manage my hand injury, which for the most part was working well and I feel like I gained some of my consistency back. One of the best things that came out of this past year was that I was in the best riding shape of my career; it was nothing for me to get on five bulls in one event. It’s great feeling to be able to feel as fresh on the first one as the last.
Although this year had its ups and downs, as many years do, I really have to thank all my wonderful sponsors. They have not only supported me this year, but have become great partners. They are the ones who allow me to follow a dream and live my life doing something I truly love. I am proud to represent such great brands and products. Bull riding is a tough sport and at any time anything can happen. I am privileged to be partnered with likes of Stanley, DeWalt, Cinch Jeans and Shirts, Ariat Boots, and the Ford Motor Company. These companies respect and understand that this truly is the toughest sport on earth.
So as the 2012 season has already begun and my success has already started, I am excited for the rest of the season and can’t wait to take you all along for the ride.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,
Brendon Clark
